Aizu Clan Lord's Procession

The highlight of the Aizu Festival, held annually in late September in Aizu-Wakamatsu City, is undoubtedly the historical pageant procession. To honor and express gratitude to the forebears who laid the foundations of Aizu, local residents and children—dressed as feudal lords, warriors, members of the Byakkotai (White Tiger Corps), and elegant princesses—march majestically through the city streets.
